The Lake District is located in central Louisiana in Rapides Parish; it is about five miles from Alexandria and just minutes from I-49. It is truly a unique location because of its proximity to the Red River.

The Lake District does have waterfront property available, but you can also view properties off the water if you prefer a more distanced lake view.

In addition to dozens of restaurants and bars, the Alexandria Zoological Park is another excellent option right in the middle of the city. You can see jaguars, Bengal tigers, lions, and more in the spectacular exhibits.

The Red River also winds through Alexandria and makes a great view once the sun begins to set. You can also rent a boat, kayak, canoe, or fish on the river's winding waters.
