However, as long as the boat stays at the correct speed, you can float on the lake all day in the beautiful sun.

Fishing is allowed on Thatcher Lake all day long. Common Fish on Thatcher Lake include bass, northern pike, trout, and panfish.

After hours of swimming, you will be hungry; good thing finding great food is not hard at Thatcher Lake. Lumberjack Saloon and Eatery is one of many places within a 5-minute drive from Thatcher Lake. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, so you never have to worry about finding something to eat. While the residents of Thatcher Lake rave about the food, that is not what everyone is talking about when they say the name Lumberjack Saloon. Those who choose to eat at the restaurant say they are like a family when they leave, making them keep coming back for more.

Spooner Health is 35 minutes from Thatcher Lake and is open 24 hours a day. Duluth International Airport is an hour and 30 minutes from Thatcher Lake. Duluth offers international and regional flights.
