Location and Access

Lower Reservoir is located in Otsego County, New York, north of Oneonta, and drains into the Susquehanna River.

The fishing area is decent with a variety of fish species depending on the season. The most commonly caught fish species here is trout.

Around Lower Reservoir

Oneota is in the southern part of Oswego County. Oneota is commonly referred to as the “City of the Hills” because of its landscape.

There are two colleges located in the city, Hartwick and SUNY Oneonta College.

There is also a great park to enjoy the beautiful weekends with the family.

Hospital and Airport

AO Fox Hospital is located six minutes away from the Lower Reservoir.

The two closest international airports are Griffiss International Airport and Albany International Airport. Both are approximately an hour and a half away.

City of Albany

Located about an hour and a half east of Lower Reservoir is Albany, known for its rich history and culture. Here, visitors can enjoy a fantastic shopping and dining scene, arts and entertainment buildings, museums and tours, and outdoor adventures.

Albany is home to many unique and historical tourist attractions. For those of age, Albany also invites you to explore the nightlife bar and club scenes!

The top-rated attraction here is the New York State Museum. This museum has a variety of different exhibits and has free admission.

Those with an interest in naval history should go on a tour at the USS Slater DE-776.

"Hamilton" fans should be interested in the nearby Schuyler Mansion, home to Colonel Schuyler and his daughters Peggy, Angelica, and Eliza.
