Pleasure Lake

Located in Valley, Nebraska

Pleasure Lake is located in the eastern region of Nebraska in Douglas County. It is in the town of Valley and is just minutes from U.S. Route 275.

Omaha is around 30 miles away, making it a perfect daycation spot. Eppley Airfield, several hospitals, and plenty of other amenities can be found here.

On and Around the Water

Pleasure Lake is a popular fishing spot for avid anglers and is known for its population of largemouth bass. Other species of fish in the lake include smallmouth bass, crappie, northern pike, and rainbow trout.

Many homes have docks, great for exploring the waters by boat, kayak, or canoe.

There are also several parks and recreational facilities in Valley. Some of these places are Valley City Park, Roger Park, Valley Mini Park, Twin Rivers YMCA, Joe Roberts Arboretum, The Pines Country Club, and Two Rivers State Recreation Area.

“The Gateway to the West”

Omaha is the largest city in Nebraska. It was founded by speculators along the Missouri River and was dubbed “The Gateway to the West.”

The Old Market district preserves Omaha's historic section, featuring cobbled streets and well-preserved buildings. The district includes numerous restaurants, art galleries, and upscale shopping.

Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo is a zoo famous for its dedicated breeding of endangered species from around the globe. It includes many popular animals such as bears, giraffes, rhinos, and gorillas.
