Meridian Region Lakes

Located in Eastern Mississippi

Meridian is a hub of shopping, dining, and entertainment in eastern Mississippi. It also houses the Anderson Regional Medical Center and Meridian Regional Airport.

Jackson is just 90 miles west on I-20, and the city is within 200 miles of Birmingham, Gulf Shores, New Orleans, or Gulfport.

Waters Around Meridian

Archusa Creek Lake is in Quitman, about 30 minutes south of Meridian. The lake is used for boating, fishing, swimming, and other lake activities.

Archusa Creek Park provides two beaches, a campground, and wooded trails. Quitman Country Club is off the shores of the lake.

Lake Eddins is located minutes from I-59 in Pachuta. The lake is well-populated with homes and docks.

Wolf Springs features two small, serene lakes. Another quiet lake is north of Meridian, next to the Briarwood Country Club.

Fun Around the City

Located on Meridian's edge, Bonita Lakes Park features over 3,000 acres of land and two large lakes. The park is famous for hiking, mountain biking, fishing, and kayaking.

Meridian is the perfect place for a music lover. Squealer's Hickory-Smoked BBQ, New's Restaurant, Cafe 35, and Meridian Underground Music are popular live music hosts.

Shoppers will have access to the Bonita Lakes Mall along with antique shops and flea markets.
