    About Buffalo Lake
    Lake of Buffalo City

Buffalo Lake, featuring over 1,500 acres, is a beautiful feature of the city. Grocery stores, restaurants, shops, hotels, and Buffalo Hospital are found in-town.

Travel just 40 miles east to Minneapolis for some of the country’s best shopping along with unique attractions. The Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport and East Bank Hospital are there as well.

    Fun for Everyone

Buffalo Lake is more than a pretty sight; people enjoy boating and fishing the beautiful expanse.

There are a public fishing pier and boat ramp at Sturges Park and two others on the north and south shore. The lake holds various fish, including largemouth bass, walleye, black bullhead, and northern pike.

Sturges Park rents out pontoons, fishing boats, kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards, so everyone has a chance to enjoy the lake.

If you are looking to hang out by the water, the park also offers a beach, picnic tables, and a playground. The lake’s two-mile walking/biking trail makes it easy to get active and enjoy lake views simultaneously.

    In the City

If you like antiquing or are looking for a new hobby, you should visit one of Buffalo’s Lakeview Antiques & Collectibles, Annie’s Attic Antiques, or Behind the Picket Fence.

Buffalo Heights Golf Course and Wild Marsh Golf Club both offer excellent 18-hole courses on the shores of Buffalo Lake.

Travel on to Minneapolis to shop the Mall of America, hike out to Minnehaha Falls, or admire art pieces at the renowned Wilson Art Center.

    Something for the Whole Family

Buffalo Lake is the place to go whether you are looking to spend time on the water or relax.
