    Adams Lake is a 308-acre lake southeast of Lagrange, Indiana.

    It’s 16 minutes from Parkview LaGrange Hospital and an hour and a half from South Bend International Airport.

    Within 10 minutes is Raber’s Discount Groceries, and within 20 minutes is Kroger. There are also several schools in the area.

    Lake Activities

    Anglers at Adams Lake can expect to catch largemouth and smallmouth bass, bluegill, and white crappie.

    Though the lake is small, the lake is full of sports during the day, and boaters are encouraged to drive counterclockwise for safety.

    The sandbar on the northeast end of the lake is popular for boaters to socialize.


    Hungry Adams Lake residents can visit Adams Lake Pub, a lakeside eatery with a stone fireplace that serves classic American cuisine such as seafood, barbeque, sweets, and steak.


    In the Adams Lake area are a number of unique attractions for residents to explore.

    At the Gene Stratton-Porter State Historic Site, visitors can experience Gene Stratton-Porter’s cabin at Wildflower Woods. Stratton-Porter was Indiana’s most widely read female author who wrote the popular book, “The Song of the Cardinal.”

    Additionally, Adams Lake residents can stop by the Mid-American Windmill Museum, which is directed at collecting, displaying, and preserving the windmills of American history.
