Located in the Hills of the Ozark Mountains

Crown and Diamond Lakes are part of Horseshoe Bend, an attractive city situated in the Ozark Mountains.

The city offers a variety of recreation and grocery stores, hotels, medical clinics, and the Horseshoe Bend Airport. With all of these conveniences nearby, you may never feel the need to leave town, but the major cities of Little Rock, Memphis, or Springfield are less than three hours away.

About the Lakes

Crown Lake is the town's greatest treasure, offering a list of recreational activities across its 645-acre expanse. The city has been a hit since 1972 when Bens Creek was established.

The neighboring Diamond Lake is just as unique. Being a smaller, less populated lake, it is a more serene location for enjoying lake life.

All Sorts of Activities

Crown Lake invites all water sports to the lake: boating, water skiing, fishing, wakeboarding, kayaking, and more. Diamond Lake is a location for boating, fishing, and swimming as well. Fish either of the lakes to catch a good bass, catfish, bream, or crappie.

Located close to the Strawberry River, thrill-seekers may raft the swift waters. Or, for a more relaxed excursion, kayakers and canoers can paddle along its more tranquil waters. Anybody of water in Horseshoe Bend is the perfect place to watch the sunset over the Ozark Mountains and reflect glowing colors on the water.

A golfer would enjoy the Cedar Glade Golf Course, with a par-3 18-hole course that is playable for higher-level golfers. The club has a resort, campsites, a spa, and a women's boutique.

Community Gatherings

The citizens of Horseshoe Bend host several events that encompass the Ozark Mountain Culture, and Every 3rd Saturday, there is the Music in the Mountains Show. During the summer, there is a Farmers' Market each Wednesday.

The Dogwood Days Festival is an annual event that is always on the 2nd Saturday of May. The festival celebrates the blooming of the Dogwoods with food vendors, entertainment, dancing, games, and more.

On Independence Day, the town hosts a parade and firework show that brings the whole community out to watch. Events continue into the Winter, including the Christmas Parade held in December.
