Lake Navaho

Location and Access

Located in Sharp County of Cherokee Village, Arkansas, Lake Navajo is a quiet and peaceful lake. Little Rock is located just two hours and 30 minutes from the area.

This 34-acre sized lake is great for fishing, swimming, no-wake boating, kayaking, paddle boarding, and canoeing. There is public access to the lakeshore for residents that do not live on the lake.

Fishing Opportunities

The most popular types of fish in Navajo Lake are largemouth bass, crappie, catfish, sunfish, trout, and salmon.

The southern part of the lake hosts the Navajo Lake Park, where there is access to fishing off the shoreline.

Near Lake Navajo

There are many outdoor activities to enjoy around the area. The Navajo Park and Allegheny Park are located on the north and south ends of the lake, and further up north is the Seminole Park. Here, you can walk, run or bike around trails and take in the beautiful lush green scenery.

Hospital

Approximately a five-minute drive away is the WRMC Medical Complex at Cherokee Village. In case of an emergency, the medical clinic is very close and next to a pharmacy as well.

Airport

The Sharp County Regional Airport is located five minutes away from Lake Navajo. The most popular international airport in the area would be the Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport.

Education Options

The main schools in the area are Cherokee Elementary School, Highland Middle School, and Highland High School. The schools are within a five-minute driving distance from Lake Navajo.

City of Little Rock

As the capital city in Arkansas, there are lots to do and see. In the city, you and the family can take museum tours, explore the outdoors at the Pinnacle Mountain State Park, and indulge in the Arkansas cuisine that is traditional country style.
