Alder Lake is located in Madge (Washburn County), Wisconsin, 11 minutes from downtown Spooner. Duluth, Minnesota, is 82 miles north and Minneapolis is 128 miles southwest.

There are a few smaller airfields nearby, but the closest major airport is Duluth International Airport, which is, typically, just over an hour and a half away. Urgent care can be provided at Spooner Health, 12 minutes away.
