Lake Newport is a small lake located in Reston, Virginia, under 25 miles from Washington, D.C.

The Dulles International Airport is under 10 miles away, and the Reston Hospital Center is under five miles away. There are a total of 14 grocery stores within 15 minutes from the lake including Trader Joe’s, Giant Food, Safeway, Whole Foods, and more!

On and Around the Lake

Lake Newport is one of the smaller lakes in Reston, but it still offers plenty of lake fun!

Popular activities are fishing, boating, wildlife watching, picnicking, and relaxing on the shore. Anglers on the lake enjoy catching bass, bluegill, carp, catfish, and perch. Swimming and ice skating are not permitted.

Baron Cameron Park is located on the east side of the lake and includes green space, athletic fields, community garden, and playground. Dogs are welcome in the off-leash area.
