As a kid growing up on Pokegama Lake, Terri spent most of her summers on the water. "I loved everything about lake life, from panfishing to waterskiing." This appreciation for the beautiful lakes and rivers in Itasca County has stayed with her through the years and is the main reason she specializes in these unique and interesting properties.

To this day, she remains an active outdoorsperson and still lives on water in the Grand Rapids area. Just as she enjoys being surrounded by water, trees and gardens, she wants to help clients visualize elements of a house or property that will help them feel happy and truly at home.

Having an agent with extensive knowledge of Grand Rapids and the surrounding communities is important to clients. But showing all that this area has to offer is also just plain fun!

Whether you're looking to buy or sell, you have big decisions to make. Terri wants you to be comfortable with your decisions and for you to have an enjoyable experience - the kind of experience that comes with a hard-working, conscientious agent who puts your interests first.

About Deer Lake - Deer River

A Turquoise Paradise in North Central Minnesota

Deer Lake is one of Minnesota’s most sought-after locations; everyone wishes to have a piece of this blue-water paradise.

With Grand Rapids just 15 miles away, you are never far from restaurants, shops, and attractions along with the Itasca County Airport or Grand Itasca Hospital.

Over 4,000 Acres of Water

Deer Lake’s crystal-clear waters cover 4,300 acres and have an average water clarity level of 16 feet. It is five miles long and one and a half miles wide.

The lake has no natural inlets, so its water comes from rainfall, natural springs, and runoff.

Due to the high amounts of minerals in the water, the lake puts off different blue shades depending on the angle of sunlight. This nicknames it the “Lake of Changing Colors.”

The Fun Never Stops

All sorts of watercraft travel the waters of Deer Lake, including pontoons, wave runners, speed boats, bass boats, and kayaks.

Home to 25 islands, boaters enjoy going from island-to-island where people picnic, swim, and hang out.

The 25-acre Bear Island is a nature management area where residents can take a stroll and spot various wildlife like birds, eagles, loons, otters, and herons.

Anglers make catches of muskie, largemouth bass, walleye, and northern pike. A public boat ramp is on the southwestern shore.

Visitors can choose from several lakeside resorts. When winter comes around, ice fishing, ice skating, snowmobiling, and snowshoeing begin.

Endless Exploring

You can access the Chippewa National Forest in the nearby Deer River, a 666,500-acre expanse for hiking, snowmobiling, fat-tire biking, camping, fishing, and more.

You will also find the White Oak Casino, favored by locals for its games, drinks, food, and entertainment in the city.

Stunning Lake Property

Deer Lake is regarded as one of Minnesota’s best lakes with its pristine waters, endless recreation, and convenient location.
