Sue is a lifelong resident of Michigan. She grew up in Plymouth, a suburb of Detroit. She visited family in Northern Michigan for quite a few years before deciding she wanted to raise her family in Petoskey. Moving north in 1994, she and her husband have raised four children, and now have three grandchildren. The natural beauty and outdoor activities where the big draw to relocate north.

Sue went to Alma College for a B.A. in business. She worked in retail management for five years before returning to school. She attended University of Michigan and received a Masters in Social Work degree. She specialized in work with children and families, with the majority of her work being with kids in the foster care system. Now on her third career, Sue enjoys the marketing component of her business background combined with the work with people component of her social work background. Real estate has dovetailed nicely with her prior experiences.

Education remains important for Sue. She has gotten her Associate Broker's license and her RSPS (Resort and Second-Home Property Specialist) certification. It is important to provide professional, current information and services to clients and their families. Lake Homes Realty is a natural fit for Sue, as she enjoys water sports of all kinds. She kayaks (both white water and sea), enjoys her pontoon boat in the summer and loves a day at the beach, sunning and swimming.

Sue is active in her community and believes in participating in the activities that support the Petoskey area. She volunteers in recycling and helped clean up the Bear River. She takes part in a soup kitchen and has been involved with the Manna Food Project. She is a board member for Habitat for Humanity, and volunteers time when the opportunity arises.

If you are looking for an agent who enjoys people, is dedicated to providing thorough, professional services, and prioritizes making every transaction as smooth and seamless as possible, give Sue a call today.

About Lake Charlevoix

Located in northern Michigan, in Charlevoix County with 17, 200 averaged acres, Lake Charlevoix is the ultimate destination for summer and winter fun! Lake Charlevoix is Michigan's third largest lake and has been called "Americas 2nd Best Lake" by "USA Today". Activities on the lake include swimming, boating, fishing, and water skiing. In the winter time enjoy ice fishing, snow skiing, and snowmobiling.

Named after Pierre Francois Xavier de Charlevoix, a French explorer who traveled The Great Lakes. Prior to European colonization the area was inhabited by the "Odawa" and the "Ojibwe" natives. The lake was initially settled by fisherman in the early 1850's, which was then called Pine Lake until 1869.
