Reed Island on Millinocket Lake has a lot going for it, including a million dollar view of Katahdin. There is an existing small 2 bedroom camp on the island which has not been used in recent years. The previous owner approved plans for a 1,500-2000 sq ft building on the island. Other key features include it's proximity to the New England Outdoor Center Resort which has the River Driver's Restaurant a short paddle or boat ride away. Also Katahdin Area Trails Mountain Bike trail development is happening on Hammond Ridge. If you follow the neoc web cam - it is the island on the front center of the starcam. The Island itself is 0.6 acres and offers spectacular views of Katahdin from inside the camp and from the shoreline.Deeded access via Loon Lane or the public boat launch.
