Holly Blanchette

Lake Homes Realty

Licensed since 1989, Holly started specializing in waterfront property in 1998. Growing up in the Chicago suburbs and learning to waterski at age 10, Holly looked forward to every opportunity to visit a lake. She has now lived and boated on both the Chain O'Lakes and private lakes in Lake County for over 30 years. This extensive knowledge of the lakes is a great asset in helping her clients find the type of waterfront location that best suits their needs.

Prior to getting her real estate license in 1989, Holly enjoyed teaching junior high English and French and coaching volleyball, basketball and softball; all sports she played herself. Playing competitively in high school, college, and beyond, Holly applies the same skills necessary for success to her real estate career. Taking care of the details, anticipating and proactively solving problems and communicating well are the strengths she brings to each real estate transactions. Holly puts her clients first. Whether representing buyers or sellers, her goal is to make the purchase or sale of a home as easy and stress free as possible. This dedication is evident from her being a Chicago Magazine 5 Star Real Estate Agent award winner, as well as a Hall of Fame realtor.

Holly has been married to her husband, Daryl, for 25 years and they have one son, Tom. Spring and summer, they enjoy water skiing and wakeboarding. Outdoor sports continue in the winter with ice skating and skiing. Her husband is an avid fisherman all year round. Their son, realizing how much he had enjoyed growing up on a lake, made a waterfront location a priority when searching for his own home. Holly would love to help you achieve the same dream for your family.

About West Loon Lake

Lake of Antioch, Illinois

Located in northern Illinois, West Loon Lake is conveniently located 2 miles south of downtown Antioch. You will have access to restaurants, grocery stores, Orchard Medical Center, schools, and more in town.

The lake is approximately 40 miles from O'Hare International Airport or Advocate Lutheran Hospital.

Double the Beauty

West Loon Lake has impressively clear waters reaching depths of 44 feet, with visibility up to 18 feet. These glassy waters encompass a total of 166 acres.

You can reach East Loon Lake, covering 168 acres through a small canal on the lake's east side. It offers a more natural, untouched environment that is great for fishing. Giving the lake its name, loons migrate to the lake in spring, and their beautiful, yodeling calls can be heard throughout summer nights.

Recreation on Beautiful Waters

Lake activities like boating, water skiing, tubing, and swimming, are all accessible at West Loon Lake. Fishermen scout the waters for largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, walleye, crappie, and northern pike. Some anglers venture to the calmer waters of East Loon Lake, where larger fish lurk among the brush.

Western painted turtles, bull-frogs, leopard frogs, and American toads are some of the lake's other habitats, including the endangered blacknose shiner.

Nearby Forests and Ski Resort

With Sun Lake, Raven Glen, and Redwing Slough Forest Preserves within a few miles of the lake, your hiking opportunities never end. Just over 10 miles away, you can have loads of fun at Wilmot Mountain Ski Resort skiing, snowboarding, tubing, or attending events.
