She first lived in the Poconos from 1980 through 1983 and returned to the region permanently in the 1990s, giving her a connection to Northeastern Pennsylvania that spans more than four decades.

Her early experiences near the Delaware River, at the Jersey Shore, and in the Pocono Mountains helped create an enduring appreciation for the water and the outdoors. Today, Wendy enjoys boating, fishing, swimming, hiking, and spending time in the lake and mountain communities she represents.
