Rice Lake - Cloverland

Rice Lake is a 79-acre lake located in Vilas County. It has a maximum depth of seven feet. Visitors have access to the lake from a public boat landing. As of 2021, the population of Vilas County is 23,520, a 9.6% increase from 2010.

Life on the Water

Fish found in this lake include musky, panfish, largemouth bass, northern pike, and walleye. Low water clarity is present in the lake. Spend the day rowing a kayak, canoe, or paddleboard around the lake to get in a vigorous workout. For your convenience, there is a boat launch at the south end of the lake.

Within a 30-minute drive of Rice Lake, there are a variety of beautiful hiking trails, parks, and other attractions. For entertainment, you can explore Eagle Falls Adventure Golf & Laser Tag., Wildwood Outdoor Adventures, or Wildwood Wildlife Park Zoo & Safari. Everybody can enjoy the activities in this lake area!

The closest golf course, Tahoe Lynx Golf Course, is conveniently located eight minutes from the lake. You can watch newly released films at Vilas Cinema, which is located 10 minutes southeast of the lake.

Shopping centers near the lake include Glik's (nine minutes), Cotton + Birch Collective (nine minutes), along with many other local shops. Within 25 minutes of the lake, there are a number of grocery stores, but Pick 'n Save is the most convenient location (eight minutes).
