Pearce Lake - Sand Lake

Located in Sawyer County, Wisconsin

Pearce Lake is nine acres and has a maximum depth of five feet. While Sawyer County is a more secluded area, the town of Meteor has plenty to do. Meteor is a short 20-minute drive from Pearce Lake.

Lake Life

Recreational activities are a huge part of lake life. Water skiing, tubing, and jet skiing are popular activities on Pearce Lake. There are some regulations in place for the Town of Sand Lake. Recreational activities are only allowed on Pearce Lake between 10 a.m and 6 p.m.

Fishing, however, is allowed all night and day. Common fish in Pearce Lake include smallmouth bass and northern pike.

What To Do

Despite the secluded nature of Pearce Lake, there are many fun attractions for both the family and adults. Wilderness Walk Zoo is one of those adventurous attractions that will make the most boring of days seem fun. Located a short 15 minutes from Pearce Lake, Wilderness Walk Zoo allows visitors to be up close and personal with the cutest of animals. Birds, sheep, and even bears are within touch of visitors. But do not worry, all the animals are trained and, most of the time, just want to lay around.

If you are a fishing connoisseur, you might visit the Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame. Only 17 minutes from Pearce Lake, the museum offers something intriguing for those that just want something new to see at a slow pace. An educational experience for the kids and a field of fishing for the adults, the Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame has something for everyone to see.

Food and drinks are easy to come by at Pearce lake. Marie’s Hideaway is a cute little restaurant where lake homeowners can go and pick up something to take back home. Marie’s is only an eight-minute drive, so whether you drive through or walk it is a convenient but great choice for those looking for a quick bite.

Hayward Area Memorial Hospital is 25 minutes from Pearce Lake and is open 24 hours a day.

John F Kennedy Memorial Airport is an international airport that is an hour and 20 minutes away from Pearce Lake.
