Ham Lake - Jackson real estate is regarded as a beautiful, but lesser known, market in Wisconsin for lake homes and lake lots.
This 313-acre-sized lake that holds a great depth of 29 feet is the ideal escape for those looking to get away. Lake Ham is a private little lake that will truly catch your eye!
About 25 miles from the lake is the 24-hour hospital, Spooner Health, and about 70 miles away is the Duluth International Airport. Lake Ham sits in an off-the-grid town but isn’t too far out from all your necessities.
Lake Ham has no public access making this lake a local hot spot for fishing- only locals are allowed. Locals commonly catch panfish, largemouth bass, northern pike, and walleye at this lake as there’s always an abundant amount available to fish.
Other than fishing, Lake Ham is a lovely spot for all water activities like boating, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, swimming, and relaxing by the lake. It’s a prime spot for locals to gather together and have neighborhood BBQs.
For hiking lovers, make sure to check out Big Bear Lake Nature Trails only eight miles from the lake which has easy hikes with wooded scenery, great for all ages. St. Croix National Scenic Riverway is more of a tourist attraction, but it’s only 15 miles from the lake. Perfect for hiking, kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing, and scenic and wildlife viewing.
Eat at the local favorite restaurant, Lumberjack Saloon, and Eatery which serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner all day. Good eats and good drinks!
Since Lake Ham is fairly remote, most restaurants, shopping, and breweries are a good drive out from the lake. About 30 miles from the lake are tasteful and affordable breweries like Round Man Brewing Co. and Moose Lake Brewing Co., definitely worth scoping out for yourself!
Lake Ham is a quaint little lake perfect for those looking to get away and escape, its natural beauty and scenery are a place you won’t want to miss out on!
