    Tygart Lake is located just to the south of Grafton, West Virginia, under 50 miles from Morgantown.

    The North Central West Virginia Airport is under 25 miles away, and the Pittsburgh International Airport is under 145 miles away. For medical care, the Grafton City Hospital is under 15 miles away.

    Residents can shop at New Pointe Plaza or Eastpointe Shopping Center or grab a bite to eat at Tomaro’s Bakery or Oliverio’s Ristorante Italian Restaurant.

    It's so easy to enjoy life on the water at 1,750-acre Tygart Lake! This lake features beautiful blue water and picturesque scenery.

    Popular activities include boating, water skiing, scuba diving, swimming, kayaking, canoeing, and fishing. Tygart Lake is considered one of the best bass fishing areas in the state and is also home to walleye, muskie, crappie, perch, bullhead catfish, panfish, northern pike, rainbow trout, and golden trout.

    Located just to the south of Tygart Lake, Arden Falls is a beautiful waterfall that serves up picturesque views and good photo opportunities. The water around the area is great for white water rafting, and there are swimming holes as well.

    Explore Morgantown

    An hour's drive will take you to Morgantown, home of West Virginia University.

    First, check out the Art Museum of WVU. This museum contains a sculpture garden, a large art collection, and exhibits.

    Next, visit WVU Core Arboretum, a botanical garden in a peaceful setting showcasing various specimens of trees and flowers. There are also hiking and walking trails along with the garden.
