Lake Pondilla is a small 3.12-acre lake tucked away in Fort Ebey State Park. Lake Pondilla is a peaceful lake with beautiful scenery. It is surrounded by a hiking trail where some have been lucky enough to see Bald Eagles in the trees!

Fort Ebey State Park

Fort Ebey is a 645-acre camping park on Whidbey Island that contains Lake Pondilla. This park was originally a coastal defense fort in World War II. If you come across a concrete platform, it marks the gun platforms used during the war. Fort Ebey offers 28 miles of hiking trails that are easy and beautiful. They allow dogs on leash and have bathrooms, a parking lot, and nearby beach access. Picnicking is a community favorite at Fort Ebey. Twenty-five unsheltered picnic tables are first come, first serve, and larger covered picnic areas that can be reserved for up to 150 people depending on the shelter.

Lake Pondilla is near all of your necessities to ensure that you can enjoy your peaceful life by the lake! There are several grocery stores within 7.6 miles of the lake to include Safeway, Haggen, and Grocery Outlet. There is the WhidbeyHealth Medical Center that is 5.2 miles from the lake for medical care, and Jefferson Healthcare Medical Center is 16.9 miles from the lake. There is the Jefferson County International Airport 21.2 miles from lake Pondilla and the AJ Eisenberg Airport just 4.8 miles from the lake for traveling.
