A Few Miles from the Coast

Lake Beecher is a 17-acre lake located east of Cathcart and just west of the Snohomish River in Washington. It is a relatively shallow lake with an average depth of 5 feet and a maximum depth of 10 feet. What makes this lake unique is its oxbow shape. The lake was once a part of the Snohomish River but was cut off from the main channel when the river excavated a new channel.

If you live on Lake Beecher, you can visit the city of Seattle in approximately 40 minutes with low traffic.

Fishing and Hiking

Due to its shallow water, fishing is one of the more popular activities on the lake. Anglers will be excited to hear that Lake Beecher contains bass, cutthroat trout, crappie, pumpkinseed, and catfish.

There is boat access at the north end of the lake, but for non-motorized boating only.

There is plenty of nature to explore by Lake Beecher! Okanogan Wenatchee National Forest is located just a few miles to the east. The forest encompasses over 4 million acres along the east slopes of the Cascade Range in Washington. You can enjoy hiking, camping, climbing, fishing, hunting, horseback riding, mountain biking, off-roading, and winter activities such as cross-country skiing, downhill skiing, and snowmobiling.
