Crescent Lake

Near the Islands

Crescent Lake is in Gig Harbor in the western part of Washington. The lake is almost a direct shot west of SeaTac. The lake is near other larger water bodies, being west of Commencement Bay and the east of Henderson Bay.

The lake is in a prime location due to its proximity to some of Washington's larger islands. Crescent Lake is to the west of Vashon Island and Maury Island.

The Islands Provide

While there is a water body that separates Crescent Lake from the islands, their close vicinity still provides visitors with plenty of venues and activities.

On Vashon Island, the larger of the two, visitors have ample restaurants, parks, and other venues to attend. Popular restaurants include Bramble House and May Kitchen and Bar.

Furthermore, Vashon Island offers a variety of outdoor activities such as hiking on nature trails. One of the most popular nature trails on the Shinglemill Creek Preserve.

Maury Island is the smaller of the two but still provides its visitors with fun and sight-seeing. The two most popular attractions on the island include the Maury Island Marine Park and the Point Robinson Lighthouse.

On Crescent Lake itself, fishing is a popular pastime. Large fish and mid-sized fish are both reported to be caught in the area. Popular fish found on the lake include varying species of trout as well as kokanee salmon.

Small Town with Much Nearby

Crescent Lake offers its residents and guests the small-town feel that some love and enjoy. However, the lake sits near ample opportunities to get outside and have some fun. The presence of multiple bodies of water, two large islands, and various venues ensures a good time for individuals of all ages.
