About Bullard Lake

Multi-Lake Access

Bullard Lake, located in Whatcom County, is a small lake in the northern part of Washington. The lake is in between Bellingham Bay to the west and Lake Whatcom to the east. Though it is a small lake, this is countered by the much larger Lake Padden that is a short drive up Wilkin Street.

Lake Padden offers a variety of activities for visitors. Homes are available on the eastern side of Bullard Lake that provides access to both lakes. Bullard Lake is also near Western Washington University.

Nearby Activities

The proximity of Bullard Lake to Padden Lake gives its visitors access to all of the venues and amenities present for the latter.

Lake Padden has a park on its northern shore, known as Lake Padden Park, which is over 700 acres. The park offers many outdoor activities; these include hiking, swimming, paddling, and horseback riding. In the vicinity, east of Lake Padden is the Lake Padden Golf Course, open for all visitors of either lake.

Sports lovers can also get their fix at the park. The park possesses tennis courts, an outdoor basketball court, multipurpose fields, a fishing dock, a boat launch, and the golf course close by.

However, fishing on Bullard Lake is not allowed since there are no fish in the lake. Even though fishing is now permitted, residents are still near many great fishing spots on Lake Padden, making this an easy obstacle to overcome.

A Home to the North

Residents and guests of all ages can find something to do and enjoy around Bullard Lake. Whether the visitors wish for privacy or wish to find a good time, the lake can provide.
