Big Lake Advantages

An oddly-shaped lake, and small in size, Bowman Lake sits less than half a mile to the northeast of the much larger Lake Tapps. Located east of Tacoma, this lake is in Pierce County.

Due to its proximity to a larger lake, Bowman Lake offers all the same benefits and activities present on and near Lake Tapps, while still offering the benefits of a small lake such as privacy.

The Seattle-Tacoma International Airport sits to the far northeast of the lake. Homes are available with lake access along the eastern side of the lake.

Activities and Resources on Two Lakes

Due to its close vicinity to Lake Tapps, Bowman Lake residents and guests can enjoy all that is available to them at the other lake.

Bowman Lake sits directly to the north of Lake Tapps Park, being a very short drive away. Lake Tapps Park offers guests a variety of outdoor activities and a chance to take in nature. Additionally, there are multiple other parks to the west, south, and east of Lake Tapps.

Most of the restaurants are located to the south of Lake Tapps. However, multiple local venues are present on the islands comprising the lake.

On the northern side of Lake Tapps, closer to Bowman Lake, visitors from both lakes have access to the Tapps Island Golf Course. Fishing is also popular both on Bowman Lake and on Lake Tapps.

Small Lake, High Access

Though Bowman Lake is only 12 acres in size, it still provides all the present benefits at a large lake. Bowman Lake has something to offer if an individual is interested in seclusion, fishing, exercise, or nightlife.

Furthermore, a long drive to Tacoma is possible for those who wish to visit a big city.
