There is a boat ramp on the lake and Norfolk boat permits are required. Bank fishing is at a small area around the boat ramp, and gas motors up to 9.9 horsepower are allowed. Boats with outboard motors larger than 9.9 horsepower can access the lake if the gas tanks are removed or the outboard is disabled.

On average this lake produces 50 trophy largemouth bass and 150 trophy sunfish yearly. Anglers can also expect to find channel catfish, bowfin, bluegill, blue catfish, yellow perch, chain pickerel, and striped bass.
