About Lake Barcroft

Close to Arlington, Virginia

Barcroft Lake is located in Falls Church, Virginia, only 12 minutes away from Downtown Arlington. It is quite beneficial to be close to Arlington if you work in the city and want to come home to a different view.

This community lake is conveniently located near the Washington/Ronald National Airport, Virginia Hospital Center, and The Pentagon.

Home to a Large Community

The 148-acre lake is home to the Lake Barcroft community of over 1,000 homes. It has close to four miles of shoreline and an average depth of 16 feet.

Take a swim or work on your tan at one of the lake’s five sandy beaches, each staffed with lifeguards for the summer.

Get on Lake Barcroft in an electric-powered pontoon boat, sailboat, kayak, canoe, a windsurfing board, or any other self-powered watercraft.

Anglers can try for largemouth bass, catfish, and bluegill from a fishing boat with a trolling motor or the shoreline.

Access to the lake and its beaches is exclusive to the residents, so overcrowding isn't an issue at this private lake.

Festivals, Games, and More

The residents host special events for many different occasions during the year on the beaches and even on the water!

On the 4th of July, Lake Barcroft puts on a fantastic firework display. Many residents gather in the lake to get panoramic views of the show.

The Labor Day Games are held at two of the lake’s beaches and are a fun way to end the summer.

Arlington hosts a variety of festivals in the Fall like the Crystal City Oktoberfest, Valley Fest, Rosslyn Cider Fest, Fall Heritage Festival, and more.
