Grant Lake is a small, 18-acre, private lake in Spotsylvania Courthouse, Virginia, under 70 miles from Richmond, and under 85 miles from Washington, D.C.

It is 30 minutes from the Mary Washington Hospital and an hour and a half away from Richmond International Airport. Within 20 minutes are grocers like Weis Markets, Giant Food, and Keystone Grocery.

In the Community

Grant Lake is one of the three lakes in the Lake Wilderness community. There is a dock on the lake to explore the water by boat, kayak, or canoe. On a warm day, anglers can toss out a line, dip their feet in the water, or relax on the shoreline.

The Lake Wilderness Property Owners’ Association provides a wide range of facilities such as a clubhouse, pool, snack bar, basketball courts, tennis courts pavilion, beach and volleyball area, campground, picnic areas, and two playgrounds.

Grant Lake residents for children can check out the Fun Land of Fredericksburg, a children’s amusement park half an hour from the lake that offers mini-rides, go-karts, an arcade, a rock wall, and much more!
