Lake Elmore

Lamoille County, Vermont

Lake Elmore is a smaller lake located in the city of Elmore, Vermont.

The lake covers a total area of 219 acres, contains a top and average depth of 17 and 11 feet, respectively, and features over three miles of shoreline.

This waterfront is within a few miles of the Canadian border, making a trip to Montreal, Ottawa and Quebec City anywhere from one to two short hours away. Popular American cities such as Boston and New York are within at least three hours.

Conjoined State Park

Lake Elmore has a popular, bucolic state park that makes up at least 30 percent of the shoreline. This recreational area is simply titled, Elmore State Park.

This park features campgrounds containing over 40 tent and RV sites, and 15 lean-to cabin rentals.

There are multiple event pavilions that families can rent for a variety of occasions. These pavilions come equipped with picnic tables, trash bins, BBQ grills and feature waterfront access to Lake Elmore's beach-like shores.

This area also features a number of hiking trails and mountain-biking routes that nature-lovers of this area make use of year round.

Teeming with Fish

Lake Elmore management does not allow any motorized watercraft to be used on this waterfront. This keeps the noise level of this area to a stark minimum.

These quiet conditions make Lake Elmore a prime location for anglers of varying skill levels. Popular sport fish to be found in this area include large-and smallmouth bass, northern pike and walleye, to name a few.
