Greenwood Lake is located in Woodbury, Vermont, around 35 minutes away from Montpelier.

The latter is a 275-acre spread that is open for public hunting, trapping, canoeing, hiking, and wildlife viewing. Other outdoor areas that are less than 30 minutes away include Woodbury Meadows Campground and CC Putnam State Forrest.
Greenwood Lake is also around 35 minutes away from the state capital of Montpelier. Visitors can check out the State Capitol Building or the Vermont Historical Society Museum.
