Oxbow Lake

Oxbow Lake sits 35 miles east of the City of Houston in Weston Lakes, a city in Fort Bend County, Texas.

Houston is a 40-minute drive away, an easy commute to the George Bush Intercontinental Airport, Houston Methodist Hospital, or the fine-dining and shopping downtown.

The City of Weston Lakes

The city of Weston Lakes is unique, given that one part is gated-community, and the other is an excellent center of agriculture. The gated section includes 1400 home sites that have access to Oxbow and Pecan Lake, as well as a golf course, country club, and private roads.

In the other 275 acres, the agricultural part of the city, there are small individually owned farms and a few bigger establishments that include livestock, horses, cattle, and goats.

Within the Community

The peaceful waters of Oxbow Lake make it the perfect setting for an afternoon picnic, fishing, kayaking, or canoeing. Visit the 72 par golf course designed by the golf champion Hale Irwin that is made up of 18-holes and includes a full-service driving range and gift shop. Contact their Golf Pro Shop to get set up for lessons or sign up for the Summer Junior Golf Camp held every July.

A popular hangout spot is the community's junior Olympic-sized pool that has a staff of lifeguards and a poolside snack bar. Separate from the family pool is the adult pool for members 18 and up who directly access the Waterside Grill. The Waterside Grill is a great place to dine within the neighborhood where you can order anything from seafood to a ribeye steak.

Events and Celebrations

On the 4th of July, Cinco De Mayo, and St. Patrick’s Day, the courtyard holds celebrations, but it is a frequent host of live music. The ballroom hosts monthly brunches and special dinners for holidays like Mother's Day and Valentine's Day.
