Lake Kickapoo is located in Holliday, Texas, around 20 minutes from Archer City and around two and a half hours from the Dallas-Fort Worth Metropolitan Area.

The closest major airport to Lake Kickapoo is the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, under two and a half hours away. The closest hospital is Kell West Regional Hospital which is 31 minutes away.

Lake Kickapoo spans a surface area of 6,028 acres with a maximum depth of 48 feet, which means there's plenty of fun for the whole family.

There's a public boat ramp on the north side of the lake with parking and courtesy docks. Kickapoo Fishing Camp/Barge on the southeastern side charges $2 per boat launch but has restrooms, cleaning stations, live bait, parking, courtesy docks, picnic areas, camping, and the opportunity to fish off the barge for a small fee.

There are several predominant fish species in the lake including largemouth bass, white bass, channel catfish, blue catfish, flathead catfish, and white crappie.
