Located in northern Texas, Lake Ray Roberts is home to the Ray Roberts Lake State Park. A super quick trip up interstate 35 to Sanger, then east among the majesty and beauty of the perfectly maintained park trails, and you've found paradise!
Originally built in 1980 as a freshwater reservoir for the northern Texas area, Lake Ray Roberts is now a premier spot for a variety of activities. The lake is leased to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation and maintained by the United States Army Corp of Engineers.

Ray Roberts Lake State Park hosts a wide variety of activities throughout the year. A few examples are: trail hikes, snake display shows, owl observation classes, fireworks shows, and even a few fishing tournaments. During last season's few drought periods, Lake Ray Roberts did not experience a significant drop in water levels, which means a fantastic trip anytime.
