(865) 505-7520

No matter where he lived growing up, Bruce Hull made time to enjoy the nearby lakes, frequenting the waters in California, North Carolina and now Tennessee. Since moving to Tennessee, he has made it his mission to be an expert on the Cherokee Lake, Norris Lake, and Douglas Lake areas.

After graduating with a degree in mechanical engineering, working in that field, and then transitioning to sales, Bruce made the jump to real estate in 2018. In his new career, he has won the Best of Zillow award, a testament to his hard work and dedication to his clients.

Bruce believes being a small part in the client's journey to sell their property, find their forever home or the land to build a home is a rewarding process. He does his best to alleviate as much stress as possible in hopes of making it a better process overall, from beginning to end.

Over the past few years, he has spent time studying the lake area to better help clients who are interested in purchasing and/or selling land and homes on the lake. From the beginning of his real estate career, it has been his goal to "sell the lake."

If you are looking for a local lake expert agent in the Cherokee Lake, Norris Lake, and Douglas Lake areas, give Bruce Hull a call!

About Douglas Lake

More Than 30,000 Acres of Water

In 1943, Douglas Lake was created by the damming of the French Broad River. It also collects intake from the Nolichucky River and a 4,541-mile watershed.

Douglas Lake is 43.1 miles long and covers a grand 30,400 acres. Its waters have a maximum depth of 140 feet and fluctuate 15-20 feet during the rainy season. It has 550 miles of shoreline, and less than 20% is developed.

Endless Outdoor Enjoyment

Douglas Lake is known for its abundant water activities, especially fishing. Named a BASSMASTER Top 100 Lake, it should be at the top of any angler’s list. It is in the nation’s top 10 largemouth bass lakes and the top five crappie lakes!

It is an exceptional location for boating and watersports. Its popular activities include pontooning, powerboating, water skiing, tubing, kayaking, and more.

The Douglas Headwater Public Swimming Beach features a roped-off swimming area, but there are many places you can dock around the shore.

In addition to the water activities, it offers picnicking, hiking, camping, and nature watching. Birdwatchers can especially enjoy the fall migration of shorebirds, wading birds, and other waterfowl that begin flocking to Douglas Lake in the late summer.

Important Amenities

On the east side of Douglas Lake is Newport Medical Center, and on the west side is LeConte Medical Center.

The McGhee Tyson Airport is under 50 miles away from the center of the lake, so it could be more or less depending on where you live.

Fun On the Town

Sevierville and Pigeon Forge feature a wide range of family-family attractions. The Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster, Hollywood Wax Museum, Dolly Parton’s Stampede, Soaky Mountain Waterpark, and the WonderWorks Museum are just a few of its hit attractions.

Venture to Knoxville for a nightlife scene of restaurants, bars, pubs, and live music. It also has a variety of shops, museums, and attractions.

A Top-Notch Lake Location

Located in the Smokies, Douglas Lake features scenic landscapes and limitless recreation. With Sevierville, Pigeon Forge, and Knoxville nearby, the opportunities for fun are endless.
