    Lake Wheeler is located at the edge of Raleigh, North Carolina, around 10 miles from the heart of the city.

    Raleigh is full of all kinds of amenities for residents, but the nearest hospital is WakeMed Cary Hospital, and the nearest airport is the Raleigh-Durham International Airport.

    A Medium-Sized Marvel

    Lake Wheeler is 650 acres wide, and its medium size provides the best of both worlds of both spacious and cozy.

    Residents can launch off of the dock with their boats (both motorized and not), and residents can participate in watersport activities such as skiing and tubing. Swimming and personal watercraft like jet skis are not permitted.

    Fishing is allowed on the two designated piers, and bank fishing is not allowed on the shorelines. Anglers can expect to catch largemouth bass, channel catfish, blue catfish, and bluegill.

    Lake Wheeler Park has 150 acres of land and a buffer around the lake area. Residents can rent a boat, pay to launch personal boats, and use the fishing rod and reel loaner program. Other amenities here include a small concession stand, a large conference room, picnic rentals, a sand volleyball court, and a playground.

    Another great way to see Raleigh is by exploring downtown. Here, you will find amazing and delicious dining options such as Jimmy V’s Osteria + Bar, Mulino Italian Kitchen & Bar, and 10th & Terrace for drinks overlooking the pretty city lights.

    Raleigh also offers a great shopping scene, so be sure to visit Crabtree Valley Mall or North Hills.
