Challis Lake is located in Charlotte, North Carolina, is only eight miles from Atrium Health Pineville and the Charlotte Douglas International Airport is 18 miles away.

Harris Teeter is an excellent choice when grocery shopping; it’s only two and a half miles away. As a bonus, you are only 90 miles from Columbia, South Carolina.

Lake Days

Challis Lake being 25 acres, offers endless things to do under the sun, and when it comes to fishing, you are sure to find Largemouth bass, Black crappie, Flathead Catfish, Southern Black Bream, and Bluegill.

For water-based activities, you can swim, canoe, and kayak. Finally, if you are more of a land person, you can have a lovely stroll around the lake’s perimeter or have a picnic with the family.

Around the Town

While staying in the Charlotte area, If you get hungry, these spots are a must: Cajun Yard Dog, Arboretum, Greco Fresh Grille, Portofino’s Italian Restaurant Arboretum, Malaya Kitchen Asian Fusion.

Once you have had your fill, you can see some sights the town offers; these include Matthews Heritage Museum, Stumptown Park, Exit Strategy, and Carowinds, to name a few within 30 minutes from the lake.

As the New Southern Hotspot, the city of Columbia has something to offer everyone.
