    Waneta Lake is a 780-acre lake located between the towns of Wayne and Tyrone, New York. Waneta is nestled in the southern portion of the state, 69 miles southeast of Rochester and 87 miles southwest of Syracuse. The closest location for emergency care is the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital, 17 miles north. The Greater Rochester International Airport is 74 miles north.
