Sixberry Lake

Sixberry Lake is a small lake southeast of Redwood, New York. Watertown is under 35 miles away, and Syracuse is 95 miles away.

It is 23 minutes from River Hospital and 50 minutes from Ogdensburg International Airport. Within 15 minutes from the water is Crossroads Grocery & Deli and Carrio’s Market.

On and Off the Lake

Anglers on the lake can expect to reel in northern pike, smallmouth bass, lake trout, landlocked salmon, walleye, yellow perch, Atlantic salmon, and bluegill.

Those looking to toss out a line can use the access point on the south side of the lake. Ice fishing for trout and salmon is common in the winter months.

The Red Hill Preserve, just 13 minutes from the lake, provides two loop trails sitting atop a beautiful sandstone bluff and winding through tall oak trees.

Nearby is the St. Lawrence River, a renowned fishing location recognized for smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, northern pike, and muskellunge. The river forms the border between the United States and Canada.
