Near the Finger Lakes

Cross Lake is located on the border of Cayuga and Onondaga counties between the Villages of Jordan and Meridian.

Cross Lake is a widening of the Seneca River as the river flows through the lower third of the lake. The lake itself is considered to be around 2,000 acres in size, with 13.2 miles of shoreline. Cross Lake has a maximum depth of 65 feet.

Cross Lake is in a prime location with the Finger Lakes and Lake Ontario only a few miles nearby.

Exceptional Fishing and Boating

With the Seneca River flowing through the lake, you never know what fish species you may encounter on your next cast.

Cross Lake is known for the large northern pike regularly caught, mostly being near 15 pounds in size. White perch, Common carp, and channel catfish are abundant and grow large in the lake. White perch, yellow perch, and gizzard shad are the main prey fish found in the lake. In short, any angler will have a hard time getting bored while living on Cross Lake.

Boating, kayaking, canoeing, and other water sports can be enjoyed on the lake. For easy water access, residents can use several free boat launches at the Cross Lake Campground, Cross Lake Marina and Inn, and Quimby’s Marina.

Visit Syracuse, New York

Syracuse is only 40 minutes from Cross Lake and is a great place to spend the day shopping, spend a romantic weekend, or grab a quick dinner and a movie.

You can visit the Museum of Science & Technology to brush up on your tech knowledge or admire art at the Everson Museum of Art.

The Rosamond Gifford Zoo is home to more than 700 animals on 43 acres. Some of the more popular animals include Asian elephants, Humboldt penguins, and Amur tigers. It is a great place to take a romantic walk through the zoo.
