    Caroga Lake is considered a four seasons destination, meaning it can be enjoyed by outdoor enthusiasts all year round.

    Boating, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, ice fishing, snowmobiling, hiking, downhill skiing, and camping can be enjoyed in or around the lake.

    The two other neighboring lakes in the Town of Caroga are also available for residents to enjoy. You can easily spend a different day of the week exploring these different bodies of water.

    If land exploration is more up your alley, the Shaker Mountain Wild Forest is just east of Caroga Lake. This is no small forest — the Shaker Mountain Wild Forest takes up 40,527 acres of land. Here, you can camp, hike, hunt, paddle, bike, boat, fish, snowmobile, ski, and enjoy the local wildlife and scenery.

    Ferris Lake Wild Forest and Silver Lake Wilderness are also nearby and offer many of the same outdoor opportunities.
