Northwood Lake stretches over three miles across and encompasses 653 acres. The lake has an average depth of 12 feet but can be as deep as 20 feet.

The size of the water makes it great for any kind of watercraft: pontoon boats, speedboats, jet skis, kayaks, canoes, or paddleboats. It is common to see water skiing, tubing, or wakeboarding as well.

Spend a day in the sand at the Northwood Lake Beach, a wonderful swimming location marked off with buoys at its deepest point of six feet.

Anglers looking to toss out a line can find smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, eastern chain pickerel, brown bullhead, white perch, black crappie, bluegill, and yellow perch.

Concord, the capital city of New Hampshire, has lots to offer residents of Northwood Lake.

Those more interested in live performances should head to Capitol Center for the Arts. There they will find ballet, country, rock, and Broadway performances.

Another attraction is the Mcauliffe-Shepard Discovery Center, named after Christina Mcauliffe and Alan Shepard. This museum features interactive indoor and outdoor exhibits as well as a planetarium.
