Franklin Pierce Lake

Hillsborough County, New Hampshire

Also known as Jackman Reservoir, Franklin Pierce Lake is a 500-acre lake surrounded by luxury lake homes and vacation homes.

The lake spans Hillsborough and Antrim, New Hampshire, under 35 miles from Concord.

The Manchester-Boston Regional Airport is under 50 miles away, and the Monadnock Community Hospital is around 20 miles away.

On the Water Fun

Franklin Pierce Lake spans 483 acres, leaving plenty of room for everyone to enjoy the water.

Much of the shoreline remains wooded and there is a no-wake zone for canoeing, kayaking, and fishing. All types of water sports are enjoyed here, including power boating, water skiing, tubing, pontooning, and sailing.

Manahan Park at the west end of town provides a swimming area and boat launch.

A warm water fishery, the lake is thriving with rainbow trout, brown trout, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, chain pickerel, horned pout, white perch, northern pike, bluegill, and black crappie.

Explore Nature

Hedgehog Mountain provides facilities for a short hike through alpine New England. The trails offer excellent views of the New Hampshire countryside.

The New Hampshire School of Falconry prides itself in its premier falconry education to all levels of experience. The school offers classes for anyone from 10 to 99 years old where students learn to fly and handle peregrine falcons.

Visit Concord

Concord, the capital city of New Hampshire, has lots to offer residents of Franklin Pierce Lake.

The top attraction is the independently owned Red River Theatre. This theatre offers screenings of independent films as well as classic movies.

Those more interested in live performances should head to Capitol Center for the Arts. There they will find ballet, country, rock, and Broadway performances.

Another attraction is the Mcauliffe-Shepard Discovery Center, named after Christina Mcauliffe and Alan Shepard. This museum features interactive indoor and outdoor exhibits as well as a planetarium.
