Fishermans Lake

Fishermans Lake is in De Soto, Missouri, around 50 miles from St. Louis. It is part of the private Briarwood Estates community.

The St. Louis-Lambert International is 57 minutes away, and the Mercy Hospital Jefferson is 22 minutes away.

Stock up on snacks and groceries at Karsch’s Village Market, 12 minutes away. Locals recommend restaurants such as Junction Cafe, Imo’s Pizza, and Cafe Smok N Pi.

Backyard Paradise

Fishermans Lake spans 20 acres and is a fishing-only lake in the community. Spring Lake is a five-acre lake that is also fishing-only.

Lake Briarwood, the largest lake in the community, spans 90 acres. There is a sandy beach area with ample parking for those residents to enjoy swimming, sunbathing, fishing, canoeing, sailing, and kayaking.

All the lakes are stocked with bass, crappie, bluegill, and catfish for anglers looking to toss a line out close to home.

The De Soto Country Club runs through parts of the community. This privately-owned golf course has 3,335 yards of golf for off-the-water fun.

Explore Nature

Mastodon State Historical Park was purchased in 1976 by the state in an attempt to stave off the park’s destruction. Three years later, many different fossils from the Ice Age were found here, including the Mastodon, as indicated by the park’s name. This is a must-see park in Jefferson County.

Crystal City Underground offers kayak tours through the caverns of a submerged 150-acre lake and is an incredibly unique experience.
