The lake is nine feet deep on average but can be as deep as 25 feet. On the three-mile stretch of water, you will see people on pontoons, jet skis, bass boats, paddleboards, and more.

Pokegama Lake is stocked annually with walleye and also sustains healthy populations of northern pike. Black crappie, bluegill, and channel catfish even fill the lake.

Public boat launches are on the north and south shore. Sandy shores make it reasonably easy to put in a kayak or canoe anywhere around the shore.

Vanelli’s Landing and Floppy Crappie Lakeside Pub are restaurants on the lake that offer tasty meals and beverages.
