About Crystal Lake - Maplewood Twp
    Convenient to I-94

Located just south of Maplewood State Park in Maplewood Township, Minnesota, Crystal Lake is a beautiful and secluded expanse that few are lucky enough to call home.

Fergus Falls is only 15 miles away, home of several restaurants, shops, schools, and Lake Region Healthcare. Hector International Airport in Fargo is just an hour’s drive from the lake.

    Quiet Waters and Wooded Landscapes

Crystal Lake is a unique shape, with a few small inlets and branches. The majority of its shoreline is left untouched and towered by mature forest.

The lake is an excellent location for fishing, kayaking, or canoeing. With so much water and few residents, Crystal Lake is the perfect place for those who enjoy privacy.

    Outdoor and City Adventures

It is convenient having Maplewood State Park just minutes away. The vast park features trails for hiking, biking, snow skiing, and horseback riding. Eight different lakes are located across the park for fishing, kayaking, and swimming.

In the winter, Crystal Lake and many others are used for ice fishing. Many people make the 12-mile trip to Lake Lida to visit the Hillbilly Ice Hole Bar. The bar features holes in the floor for ice fishing and serves a variety of beverages, including shots with live minnows! It is only out on the ice in January and February, so make sure you plan a trip.

If anyone has a craving for urban life, there are breweries, a bowling alley, cafes, coffee shops, and several stores around Fergus Falls. A larger entertainment and nightlife scene can be found in Fargo.

    Something for Everyone

Crystal Lake is the perfect place for outdoor enthusiasts that don’t want to be too far from city conveniences.
