A Lightly Developed Lake

Mitchell Lake spans around 250 acres with a maximum depth of 38 feet, offering room for recreation and relaxation.

Anglers can find black crappie, bluegill, green sunfish, largemouth bass, northern pike, pumpkinseed, rock bass, smallmouth bass, walleye, yellow perch, white sucker, bluntnose minnow, common shiner, and golden shiner.

Mitchell Lake and the surrounding area are in Superior National Forest’s Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCAW). The BWCAW offers over 1,000 lakes and 1,500 miles of canoe routes to explore!
