Lower Mission Lake is a lightly developed 724-acre lake located in Center Township, Minnesota. A city trip to Brainerd is only 15 miles away.

The area that later became Center Township is home to one of the first settlements in Crow Wing County. In 1857, Reverend Ottomar Cloeter moved near the mouth of Mission Creek in response to an appeal for a missionary to come to this part of Minnesota.

The Brainerd Lakes Regional Airport is 17 miles away, and there are two medical care options within 15 miles: the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center - Crosby and the Essentia Health-St. Joseph's Medical Center.
