About Greater St Cloud Area

Beautiful Downtown with Views of the Mississippi

St Cloud is a lively scene of shopping, dining, and entertainment that boasts a charming downtown along with the beautiful Mississippi River.

With St Cloud’s recent growth and development, it is known as a “little city outside Minneapolis.” The Twin Cities are only 60 miles southeast of St Cloud.

I-94, along with four major highways, run into the city, so traveling in or out will be a breeze. Although, you may never feel the need to leave with St Cloud Regional Airport, St Cloud Hospital, St Cloud State University, and so much more nearby.

Escape to the Lakes

Several lakes are located in and around the Greater St Cloud Area that see visitors from all over the country.

Horseshoe Lake, Becker Lake, East Lake, and Cedar Island Lake are a large group of connected lakes in Richmond, southeast of St Cloud. Many homes around the lakes have full-time residents, while the resorts bring in seasonal guests.

Avon is east of the city, where Upper, Middle, and Lower Spunk Lake are excellent locations for boating, fishing, and swimming.

Lake Koronis is the largest of the region, and its waters cover roughly 3,000 acres. Its pristine, blue waters are adored by fishermen, sailors, and swimmers alike.

The Granite City

Widely known as “The Granite City,” St Cloud has long been a part of the granite industry. Its first quarry opened in 1863, but it is now home to over 30. Visit Lake George Park to see large chunks of Saint Cloud’s granite standing as the park fountains.

Quarry Park is an exciting experience, and you can hike nature trails and check out old mining equipment. The best part is the quarry, now filled with water that people swim and dive into all summer long.

The Beaver Island Trail is a paved walking or biking trail that runs along the Mississippi River. It is a great way to reach the water for a picnic or birdwatching.

The Granite City Days are St Cloud’s largest event that includes a parade, art fairs, 5k runs, live music, cooking contests, and more.

Outstanding Location in Central Minnesota

Greater Saint Cloud’s city attractions on top of its beautiful lakes make it a fantastic place for a lake home or rental.
