Located about an hour outside of Detroit, this beautiful lake is the perfect place for you to call home!

The nearest commercial airport is Oakland County International Airport, about 25 minutes away and the nearest hospital is Detroit Medical Center Huron Valley- Sinai Hospital. This location is perfect because of its proximity to the city while still maintaining the small-town peace and quiet that is ideal for every lake home.

On the Water

Rush Lake is private and spans about 130 acres. While it is a nice size, it is generally pretty shallow, averaging about six feet in depth. This is an all-sports lake though, so feel free to take advantage of all the water has to offer!

Anglers can expect to catch bass, bluegill, carp, catfish, crappie, northern pike, perch, and sunfish in these waters.The lake is maintained by the lake owners association which residents pay annual dues to.

If you’re looking for a fun family-friendly activity, take a day trip to Legoland Discovery Center! It’s only about a 30-minute drive from the lake. This fun and educational attraction is a great way to spend an afternoon when you’re not on the water. Sea Life Aquarium is also only 30 minutes away. This aquarium has great reviews and is home to a large variety of fresh and saltwater fish, complete with an underwater tunnel.

A great outing for a summer day is Bald Mountain State Recreation Area. Located less than half an hour north and one of the many parks in this area, Bald Mountain boasts 4,637 acres full of trails for hiking and biking, lakes, picnic areas, and even a shooting range. There are also cabins available for rental on the property.

Near Downtown, the neoclassical Detroit Institute of Arts features the Detroit Industry Murals painted by Diego Rivera. The Henry Ford Museum provides a unique opportunity to view exhibits and listen to stories about America’s tradition of ingenuity, resourcefulness, and innovation. Detroit is also home to the famous Rosa Parks Bus and JFK’s limo.

Named the Best Riverwalk in the Country in 2021, the Detroit International RiverWalk offers beautiful sights and a relaxing experience for the whole family to enjoy. The riverwalk grants views of Canada, the Ambassador Bridge, and the GM Renaissance Center. This is a must-see!
