Lake Ann is a large lake with something for everyone, whether you like to tube or enjoy a sunset cruise. There are high-speed boating hours from 11:30 am to 7:30 pm. Residents are free to waterski and tube or just enjoy a high-speed boat ride during these hours. Past this time, boats may operate non planing.

Eighty percent of Lake Ann’s shoreline is privately owned. However, there is a boat launch, a state campground, as well as several acres of public land.

Anglers can expect bluegill, largemouth bass, northern pike, rock bass, and smallmouth bass, just to name a few.

Wander around Clinch Park, Traverse City’s most popular beach. With over 1,500 feet of sand along the West Grand Traverse Bay, it is perfect for soaking in the sun and scenic views of the water. Clinch Park has picnic tables, bike racks, trail access, a snack bar, and restrooms.
